A higher power brings NYC wordsmith Yahzeed Divine and Bronx beat king, Silent Someone together! Divine Intervention is the name of their new nine-track deep collaborative project (out now via Bronx Science Records). Silent Someone injects beats akin to dusty sample collages that equally borrow shards of melody, electronics and moody cinematic elements. Yahzeed is a street poet in every sense, developing in the golden age ground zero of New York as well as a sharp conscious and metaphoric prowess with the pen.
Single from the project “Science Of Sound (S.O.S)” and "96 Summer Air" exemplify their aesthetic in full.

The duo, who initially crossed paths in 2005 during recording sessions at Fred Ones (Sonic Sum, Guerrilla Grooves Radio) TME Studios. That yielded a fruitful musical partnership across various singles over the years. Speaking on the genesis of this album Silent Someone said “it just happened organically from us hanging out together and being in the same circle. Yahzeed would give me his lyrical direction and subject matter of a track and I would go cook up a track from his inspiration. We recorded it all at my lab, 850 Basement Studio.”
Yahzeed has previously released material with Kool Keith, Kurious, Preservation and is a member of the trio known as Sophisticated Savage along with Rhinoceros Funk and MC White Owl.
Silent Someone has also just released a new EP with his duo project Silent Funk (which also features Rhinoceros Funk). He’s previously released several producer albums and has laced tracks for a number of artists including Trinity (Sadat X, AG & DJ Jab)
