(Los Angeles, CA) – Today, rising rap phenom Joey Cool rolls through with a braggadocious new song and music video for “OG Cool” out today via Strange Music.
On the track, Joey muscles through a jazz-y horn loop and skittering beat with his signature brawny flow leading the way. Exuding charisma and confidence, he easily leans into the instantly chantable chorus, “All in my zone, hitting my stride, OG cool!” It spotlights his incendiary delivery front-and-center and affirms his status as a classy spitter without comparison.
“OG Cool” comes alongside the announcement of Joey’s next full-length LP, Roller Coaster, out everywhere on October 4. Check out a reveal of the album’s eye-catching cover artwork below.

Last month, Joey kept up his prolific streak by unleashing “Out The Way.” Right away, The Hype Magazine and more featured it. Prior, he served up “The Fuse” and “Drippin’ Part 3.” The latter earned plugs from I’m Music Magazine, Hip Hop Over Everything, and more. Listen to "Drippin' Part 3” HERE.
“Vibe Check” notably marked his first release since 2023’s Enjoy The View. Beyond amassing nearly 1 million streams and counting, it landed looks from I’m Music Magazine and Hip Hop Golden Age who named it in the honorable mentions among “The 9 Best Hip Hop Albums of the Month” upon release.
It’s just the beginning of his next era though.
In 2021, Joey Cool joined forces with Tech N9ne, King Iso, and the legendary Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for the biggest independent rap song of that year, "Face Off." Its success would be downright unprecedented, birthing a TikTok challenge and amassing over 13 billion views! The track has crushed nearly 199 million Spotify streams so far with 83 million views on the blockbuster music video. The track saw him mentioned by everyone from Variety to Entertainment Weekly.

With impenetrable flows, hypnotic hooks, and debonair flair, Joey Cool persists an outlier through and through. From the jump, the Kansas City phenomenon has mined influences as diverse as R&B, big band, rock ‘n’ roll, alternative, and rap. “I’ve got a Frank Sinatra tattoo on my arm, and I’m from the Midwest,” he grins. “I’m a little different.” Thus far, he has ignited a string of fan favorite projects. Hailed as “a hidden gem,” HipHopDX rated his 2018 self-titled solo debut “4.0-out-of-5.0.” Following Coolie High [2020] and I tried to be normal once[2021], he reached another stratosphere on The Chairman of the Board [2022]. Of the latter, Legends Will Never Die raved, “he sounds a lot more confident on here as he leaves no room for questions regarding his current status,” and Hip Hop Golden Age applauded it as “some of his most confident writing and performances to date.” Underground Hip Hop Blog summed it up best as “Joey Cool’s most confident effort yet.” In between, he shined on Tech N9ne’s “Face Off” alongside King Iso and the legendary Dwayne Johnson. The song has amassed hundreds of millions of streams, 14.6 billion TikTok views, and received plugs from Variety, USA Today, People, HYPEBEAST, and many more. In its wake, Joey hit the road with Tech, ¡MAYDAY!, and Iso. Now, he goes even harder with a dynamic, diverse, and definitive opus in the form of his sixth full-length album, the aptly titled Enjoy The View [Strange Music].
